SMileS/Better Telecoms Ltd attend a wide variety of events from networking, conferences, Yorkshire Mafia drinks evenings and various charity functions. As well as attending many events we also partner a networking group MYnetwork. In our previous form we used to sponsor some events for example the Kirklees Business Conference.
We find attending events and being a part of networking groups is very a great way for businesses to keep in touch and raise their profile, they can be great fun too. It also helps creates a network of contacts in a variety of different industries that can give each other referrals and recommendations which helps generate business.
Networking groups we are active members of include The Yorkshire Mafia, Mid Yorkshire Network, and Colne Valley Business Network. All these networking events vary in how they get members to network and we’ve found that attending a variety of different types benefit the business in different ways. The most important thing is to attend networking events that work for you, as what works for one business will not necessarily work for another.
Up and coming events:
An opportunity for Charities, Social Enterprises, and Businesses to come along to our first networking event since our re-launch to informally network with a range of organisations and businesses in a great setting. We are also providing an opportunity for charities and social enterprises to also access a number of “Quick Clinics” on a range of subjects hosted by the Skill Will business members.
